Iridium Suite was conceived in a Radiation Oncology practice. The president of MBS, Dr. Michael Kos, found the current tools and services available for billing to be unsatisfactory, ineffecient and more specifically that they were not allowing him to maximize his revenue potential. Following this realization, Dr. Kos started Medical Business Systems and began the process of developing a new system from scratch.
Uniquely, the software development was not driven by software engineers, but by the billers and the clinicians whom performed the billing themselves. Hence, the Iridium Suite stands apart from its competitors because it was essentially developed by the customer. This style of development has allowed Iridium Suite to mirror common biller workflow more closely than the alternatives. For years the product was slowly developed hand in hand with the billers who worked with it. Their input has been indispensable. We continue this style of development today by building strong relationships with our customers. We feel that our customers' input is invaluable, and we translate it directly into the software.
